Staunton’s Pharmacy was opened by Jack and Ita Staunton in 1952, as a private, family owned retail Pharmacy. It is now a 3rd generation business and has been a limited company, Stauntons Pharmacy Ltd (SPL), since 1993. Currently, there are 5 different business units which are all based in Castlebar - 3 pharmacies, a Health food shop and most recently a Daybreak convenience store. There are 65 staff (full time and part time) with a core of experienced, loyal and well trained team members in each location.
